I think I broke my blog ...:( Who can fix it?
I had a pithy moment in the past summer when I didn’t hate Stephen Harper and what he was/is doing to Canada. However, as his governance of Canada continues he grows more and more into the mirror image of George Double-Ya, which does not extend the list of commendable things he’s doing/has done. Most recently Harper took a position on the Hezbollah crisis that deteriorates Canada’s typical stance as being neutral and playing peace keeper.
Instead Harper said:
[Link] "Israel has the right to defend itself,"
He would not comment on specific incidents or strikes by the Israelis. But his comments clearly show that his government is unequivocal in its support of Israel.
"I think Israel's response under the circumstances has been measured, and I think it is tremendously disappointing that these attacks were done in areas that Israel voluntarily evacuated."
And of course we all recognize where Bushy-Poo stands on the whole situation.
"Israel has a right to defend herself," Mr. Bush said from Germany. "Hezbollah doesn't want there to be peace. The militant arm of Hamas doesn't want there to be peace, and those of us who do want peace will continue to work together to encourage peace."
While watching parliament today, (on CBC News World) Jack Layton (the leader of the NDP party of Canada) took the words right out of my mouth (it must have been while he was kissing me…). Harper has a responsibility to attend to his past statements about Israel. Canada should remain a neutral country on the issue, and these comments are detrimental to Canada’s credibility as a world crisis arbitrator.
Unfortunately one thing Harper isn’t mocking from America is their evacuation efforts. Where America has been able to get many Americans out of Lebanon, Canadians will have to wait until tomorrow, midday when 3 boats are scheduled to arrive.

Broken Blog
Is it still broken? If so give me a shout at webs05@gmail.com, or respond here. I might be able to help.
Stephen Harper
Prime Minister Harper is to be commended for his principled stand in support of Israel. He is absolutely correct that Israels' response has been measured (and even timid in my opinion). Hamas and Hisbollah (and their patrons in Syria and Iran) are the successors to Hitler, Stalin, and Mao, the enemies of civilization, and must be most vigorously suppressed.
Don't be a troll
I'm not against people saying whatever they want in the relevant threads, but it'd be nice of you not to repeat claims that I thoroughly refuted in the other thread. If you feel you have anything to add to that discussion, there are two different threads dedicated to it.
Now that's just mean. He's
Now that's just mean.
He's more like Cheney, or Rove.
Well there is a fundamental
Well there is a fundamental difference with Cheney and Harper, if you google the words 'harper' and 'gun' you get the Ben Harper CD rather than some embarassing photos. And I think the closest thing Canada has to Rove is Tom Flanagan. Although, I'm fairly certain Harper would survive without Flanagan, I'm not so sure I can say the same for Bush in regards to Rove...
