Be sure to use the proper gang-identification slang.
Nice - there's now a website dedicated to making sure that all the places you shop use the proper gang signs:
How "Christmas-Friendly" Are Retailers?
Millions upon millions in our nation deeply value the great truths of Christmas and the holiday's inspiring place in American life and culture. We hope you will take a moment to "Stand for Christmas" by sharing feedback about your Christmas shopping experiences.
We're asking YOU to decide which retailers are "Christmas-friendly." They want your patronage and your gift-shopping dollars, but do they openly recognize Christmas?
Please post your rating and share your comments, which will go directly to retailers and appear on this site. Then, forward them to a friend!
Right, because the "Reason for the Season" is whether or not retailers flash the correct hand signals at the checkout counter.
Guess who is behind this glorification of the mighty dollar:
In response to the secularization of Christmas and the trend of censoring public references to this time-honored holiday, Focus on the Family and Focus on the Family Action began to speak out on the issue in 2007.
So, to counter the secularization of Christmas, they're only going to spend money on junk gifts from some third-world hellhole at places that use the Magic Phrase "Merry Christmas" in their advertising and at the checkout counter.
You can imagine what the "comments" posted at that site are like. If you can't, go take a look - but have a stiff drink at hand when you do, cause it ain't pretty when the devout Christians start showing off for one another. It's almost enough to make one wish there really was a Jesus Christ who said things like Matt 7:all. After all, What Would Jesus Buy? seems to be pretty piss-poor reading of the entire New Testament.
Gah. Hypocritical bastards.

God and Guns
Looks like the least offensive and Most friendly shops are the Bass Pro shops and Cabelas. Seems to fit since god and guns go so well together. It also fits that GAP has the most offensive score, sandals and togas really have never been fashionable.
And just try to convince people that a "Christmas Tree" is silly
There's a poll online saying asking if people think it's OK to say "holiday tree" or if it should only be a "Christmas Tree," and suggesting they protest any use of "holiday tree." Even the ones that agree with the concept of separating the religious (which is two days, max) from the secular/commercial (which seems to run for about four months at this point) get their knickers in a twist on this one. Nevermind that the tree is a pagan symbol that has been co-opted, and focuses on a plant species not found in the Holy Land..... Nope, suggest that a Christian give up a tree and just have a creche if they want to focus on The Reason For The Season, and it's quite entertaining. I don't gig with people who can't keep their story straight.
How dare anybody acknowledge
How dare anybody acknowledge that there are multiple holidays between November 1 and January 1. It's a conspiracy against Christians! [/sarcasm]
And they have the nerve to complain others are shoving their "agenda" down everybody's throats.
