He's a JEANYUS!

OK, perhaps President Bush has figured out the way to save various manufacturers:

Shoe Hurled at Bush Flies Off Turkish Maker’s Shelves

Dec. 19 (Bloomberg) -- The shoe hurled at President George W. Bush has sent sales soaring at the Turkish maker as orders pour in from Iraq, the U.S. and Iran.

The brown, thick-soled “Model 271” may soon be renamed “The Bush Shoe” or “Bye-Bye Bush,” Ramazan Baydan, who owns the Istanbul-based producer Baydan Ayakkabicilik San. & Tic., said in a telephone interview today.

“We’ve been selling these shoes for years but, thanks to Bush, orders are flying in like crazy,” he said. “We’ve even hired an agency to look at television advertising.”

***

Baydan has received orders for 300,000 pairs of the shoes since the attack, more than four times the number his company sold each year since the model was introduced in 1999. The company plans to employ 100 more staff to meet demand, he said.

Seems like the perfect solution.

A scene not seen often enough

Shoes for industry!
Shoes for the dead!
Shoes for the President
Aimed at his head!

Oh, what a pitcher,
Oh, what a throw!
It could'a done damage
But Bush, he ducked low.

The thrower, now famous,
Deserves praise and thanks.
Like the brave man in China
Who stood down the tanks.

After eight years of mayhem
And all the Bush gaffes,
It's time people everywhere
Had some real belly laughs.

I'm looking forward to saying goodbye to Two Ewes and saying hello to Aitch. (Keeping alive the brand new tradition of referring to a person, specifically a president or other high office holder, by their middle initial.)

What will the future under Obama bring? Who knows! Tune in again at this same time next month when you'll get the first real clues!

* I'm keeping my fingers crossed.*

Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good life

I predict

. . . that in this will become an iconic moment/statement/declaration of independence that will survive well into future history. This moment is already celebrated and replayed by people all over the world and I'd estimate that 98% of them think it a wondrous moment in time. (The remaining 2% are "deeply concerned.")

The image is incorruptible.

Of course, I could be wrong . . .

. . . nnaaaahhhh!

I'd buy a pair.

I'd buy a pair.
