Is Europe a Country?
This has nothing to do with anything usually discussed on UTI, however it's so damn funny, I just had to post it.
Mike Huckabee's secret weapon:
Hey, it's Friday and I'm in procrastination mode.

Pickler!
That's Kelley Pickler. She's a country & western singer who was a loser on American Idol a few years ago. Her whole shtick is the dumb blond routine. She's actually a pretty good songwriter and singer. I think she's probably playing up the shtick here - especially since Foxworthy is so closely associated with the country music scene and also for bagging on dumb redneck hicks in his comedy routines.
Not that she's not dumb as a bag of hammers, but I'm almost positive that it is played up in this clip by both her and Foxworthy for entertainment's sake. I mean, c'mon. The whole concept of the "Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader?" show is that adult Americans are idiots.
There is nothing really surprising about a celebrity who is known for her dumb blond routine, who appears on a show known for making fun of dumb blonds, who then proceeds to act like a dumb blond.
Awwww Brent...
...the way you're defending her I think you got a soft spot for her! Hahaha! I've never heard of her (or the stupid show), but I'll admit she is a cutie and got great legs.
I doubt she's really that ignorant and I agree she might be hamming it up, but it must pay good if you're willing to humiliate yourself playing up the dumb blond to that extent.
*blush*
Heh! She is definitely a cutie! I could listen to her sing "Red High Heels" in that dress all night long...
Seriously, though, I always liked her, even on Idol. I got the strongest sense of theater when she acted like a self-deprecating ditz. She really was funny. Then she came out with her post-Idol album - and it turned out that she wrote a lot of the songs herself - and they were good! Let me emphasize that a bit; they were good without resorting to "Jesus Take The Wheel" suck-up-to-the-Christian-audience tactics, which I really appreciated.
I take it . . .
. . . that this is from the latest crop of "Stupid People TV Shows"? Is the ditz someone famous?
But yeah - that's what we're up against, gang.

That...
...is almost too sad to be funny. Funny fersure, but as I've heard said around this place before, 'Oh, the stupid, it burns'.
Another product of our fine education system, one of the HS graduates who can't find the US on a blank world map. Or their way out of a paper bag I'm guessing. Scary to think they let them breed. Or vote.
