Source at U.N. tells of secret UFO meeting February 12, 2008
I received the following email from two trusted colleagues (Clay and Shawn Pickering) regarding a reliable source informing them that a secret meeting occurred yesterday morning (Feb 12) at the New York office of the United Nations concerning the recent spate of UFO sightings. It appears that a number of nation states are concerned about the impact of increased UFO sightings and wish to be briefed about what is happening. Their source, who currently works in the diplomatic corps, had to travel for an early morning off the record meeting at the UN. Their source revealed that a secret UFO working group exists that is authorizing the release of such information to the public, in an effort to acclimate others to what is about to unfold. A date of 2013 was given as the time for official disclosure and/or when extraterrestrials show up in an unambiguous way. In the interim there will be acclimation related releases of information. Importantly, the source revealed that the events leading up to official disclosure will involve more ethically oriented extraterrestrials, and they will not pose a military threat to the world.
Aha! Now we know the real reason behind those UN black helicopters!

What follows next is a report of a further meeting between Clay and Shawn Pickering and their confidential source regarding the UN meeting on UFOs held on the morning of February 12, 2008. They pointed out that the “unambiguous showing up” of extraterrestrial life – sitting over major cities - would occur in 2017, rather than 2013 as described in the earlier article. The role of religion and population growth was also allegedly discussed, and appeared to raise many issues at the meeting, especially for India.
A significant descriptive term chosen by Clay’s and Shawn’s source for the extraterrestrials that would show up in 2017 was “The Controllers.” Such a term has clear psychological connotations and was chosen to have a particular effect on the target audience – both UN member states in attendance and the general public to which the information was being leaked. This is a clue that Clay’s/Shawn’s source is conveying information that has been designed to trigger a certain psychological reaction that influences how issues are framed and discussed.
Hmm. Where have I heard of such a scenario before? Let me think . . . hmm . . . oh yeah, Arthur C. Clarke's book Childhood's End.

2013 / 2017 confirmation & battle with aliens
In reference to the secret UN meeting on UFO's disclosure by Year 2013, I found a XBOX game which is based on this revelation. This game will release on 3/20/2008. I'm wondering if the members of the UN had been playing with a beta release of this game before their SECRET MEETING? The name of the game is called Earth Defense Force 2017. Here's the link:

I agree with Sizz, and keep an open mind. While I doubt the authenticity of the email or the "meeting" described, that there are "UFOs" is beyond dispute. Precisely WHAT they are is the trillion dollar question. And sure, there are plenty of outright hoaxes and honestly mistake perceptions of man-made or natural phenomena. But there do remain cases that make you go "hmmm".
On a different tac, although they sometimes ham it up for TV, I rather like the scientific way that the "Ghost Hunters" of The Atlantic Paranormal Society (TAPS) try to do their investigations. They do sometimes encounter some odd things that warrant further research. This show has spun off a sister series "UFO Hunters" that try to take the same hard-nosed scientific approach.
Whenever I want to get my weird on, I stroll over to the blog RIGOROUS INTUITION, which covers all manner of deep politics and high weirdness.
Alleged UFO activity also make a good "cover story" for covert ops (secret new weapons systems tests or intelligence ops kidnapping misremembered as "alien abduction", say), which of itself still doesn't rule out genuine UFO activity of possibly extra terrestrial origin as well.
That there are Black Helicopters and Black Ops (False flag) specialists out there I have no doubt; that they have anything to do with the UN is laughable. The UN is a puppet (giving a cloak of legitimacy to less-than-honorable superstate actors engaged in soft imperial projects) at worst and a mere debating society at best.
If there are E.T.s out there, I hope they share with us secrets like perfecting nuclear fusion reactions or harnessing anti-matter or divulge some energy source we're overlooking or don't know about yet that can hope to at least partly replace petroleum...Humanity make someday soon make it to Mars, but I doubt we'll have the energy reserves or financial resources left in the future to do much beyond that...a manned Mars mission would be humanity's last great hurrah, and then mostly downhill from there, in my pessimistic opinion.
I just hope...

There's no question that SOMEthing's going on. What that something is I don't even pretend to know.
All that is known with any certainty is that there are unclaimed advanced machines in our skies - anything beyond that statement is sheer speculation and conjecture. We don't know for sure right now where they are from or who they belong to. There's no solid proof they are from another planet. They might turn out to be from some undiscovered race on Earth... Who knows? I'm speculating.
One other thing: They aren't US Military unless America has had that kind of technology for several hundred years at least because *guess what?* seeing these things isn't new to this generation or the past three even.
I truly hope that this UN Meeting really happened. That means the world is rubbing the sleep out of their eyes finally and is waking up to smell the coffee.
We'll have to wait & see what transpires. Maybe it's not even *our* timetable we should be expecting to follow...

Is it just me or does the reference to suicidal scientists sound like poorly written sci-fi? Every scientist that I have heard speak of "non-indigenous" life would be happy to do naked back flips down Main Street for a chance to have their pet theories shit-canned by the advent of our Galactic Overlords!
Not to mention that secrecy, duplicity and a predilection to associate with military types is also bad sci-fi and simply mirrors our own immature behavior towards one another. Not to mention that people are really lousy at keeping secrets . . .

weeping jesus on the cross! those scientologists may be on to something!!! seriously. no one would wonder why there are more ufos during a renewed arms race? secrecy, military, and the un- it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that these are new military somethings being tested secretly.
