Maybe I should look more closely at the hate mail . . .
Gotta love it. The folks over at Feministing get the usual kind of misogynist hate mail you would expect, but sometimes things turn out a little bit differently from what the sender intended:
Anti-feminist mailbag (the missing 5% edition)
We receive a lot of hate email here at Feministing, and this one was too good not to share.
Men are better than women look at the comparison in IQ men are scientifically proven to have a higher IQ by roughly 5 points, or 5% you cannot dispute science sorry and if you want a much better website than your shitty one you might want to go to [redacted]. I think you would gain a lot more knowledge from that website and you might learn about the truth that way you would not be so stupid and ignorant you stupid cunts.
Apparently that extra five percent doesn't help prevent run-on sentences. You would also think that those extra brain power percentage points would stop a dude from sending harassing emails from his school email address. Because then we wouldn't know that our charming admirer is the public relations officer (yes, public relations) of the Southern Illinois University College Republicans, Alex Kochno. I think I'll stick with my stupid cunt lady brain, thanks very much.
It seems that Mr. Kochno was forced to resign from his position. Imagine that. But I'm sure he can find a job with some future Republican administration, showing this kind of initiative and PR skill.
Perhaps I should start looking a little more closely at the hate mail I get from fundies - there might be some similar gem in all the dross. Got any good similar stories to share?

Patriarchal camaraderie?
Patriarchal camaraderie? Where'd you get that? I'm just saying that people would be attracted to someone who holds views of them that are similar to god-worship.
Stop being so thin-skinned. I really don't think that there was any intended malice in emkay's comment. If you think it was insensitive, just politely point it out and allow the individual the chance to develop some sensitivity.
Well said.
Indeed, iheart.

Lexicon
The internet lexicon has just expanded a bit, thanks to Mr. Kochno.
"Dude, you totally kochnoed yourself!"
Nice turn of phrase.
From the comment Brent linked to, as pertaining to Mr. Kochno:
Now, that's what I call a nice turn of phrase!

I thought it was from Vox
I thought for sure this was something written by Vox Day until I clicked on the headline and read the whole post.
This guy's a prick, but
This guy's a prick, but there ARE differences between the learning abilities of men and women. Men have advantages in certain areas that women don't, and vice versa. But so few people push themselves to their maximum abilities that these differences are usually overcome by the disadvantaged applying more effort.
Real men....
...dah...don't use punctuation!
Base score
"a higher IQ by roughly 5 points, or 5%"
So, he is taking as his base point a score of 100. I guess that fits a college young republican.
Heh.
Hehehehehehehehehehehehehe!

sweet-talkin' Lothario
Bet he gets all the girls...
Or just as likely...
...all the boys!
"...all the boys!"
Wow. How brilliant and enlightened you are to insult someone by suggesting that he might be gay or gay men might be attracted to him. Yup, those gays sure are icky! He must be one of them.
While I agree with your
While I agree with your sentiments that calling someone gay shouldn't be an insult, I think this comment was entirely appropriate for this topic. I would think that someone who thinks that males have a higher IQ and that this is a scientific fact would probably attract boys, and not girls. ;-)

OK. I suppose I get it now, but it's still REALLY, REALLY LAME! While your explanation sheds some light on what was attempted to be said, the comment still falls flat, so I'm still calling the commenter out on something he should have probably just kept to her/himself. Also, your explanation implies that gay attraction can be a function of patriarchal camaraderie, which is quite a reach.
