It All Makes Perfect Sense Now
Some folks are just plain crazy. Case in point: David Caldarola, author of an op-ed piece in the Chicago Daily Herald claims that the election is a religious war, between "the faithful" and the dreaded, nasty, soulless, baby-eating atheists.
And here all along I thought that this Presidential election was between John McCain and Barack Obama. Silly me!
[link] Liberalism is socialism-Communism-Marxism; all of which require atheism.
[...]
This is not an election between Obama and McCain. It's between atheists and the faithful.
So, according to David "Batshit Insane" Caldarola, this is how it works: Liberalism = socialism = communism = marxism = atheism. Obama is a liberal, therefore, ipso facto, Q.E.D., Barack Obama is an atheist bent on world domination, who wants to distribute your wealth to puppy grinding facilities all over North America.
It's all so very simple - when you're crazy.
Holey frakkin' Christ crackers. I'm no Einstein, but I will be so glad to have this election over with, and finally have a President whose IQ is higher than mine. That would be a nice change.

Batshit Insane
Does anyone else find it ironically humorous that David "Batshit Insane" Caldarola wants to dress up as Batman this Halloween?
Did anyone catch the Colbert Report w/ Brian Moore as guest?
Slightly OT, the Colbert Report called the McCain/Palin ticket on their red-baiting condemnations of Obama as a "socialist"; Colbert, without skipping a beat, said something to the effect of "and here to discuss whether or not these accusations of Obama = Socialism are accurate, US Socialist Party Candidate for President, Brian Moore"
I thought that was pretty cool. Of course, in a healthy democracy, Mr. Brian Moore would be on CNN, and not just a fake news satire show. Anyway, Moore's short answer was "No, Obama is no socialist". I'm sure the Moore/Alexander ticket would be glad to take to the national stage to debate McCain/Palin on the relative merits of socialist political economy, but I somehow don't see that happening before election day.
The funniest thing I've heard so far was calling Obama an "Islamic Socialist"...??? So Obama = ...Nasser?
Huh??
Anyway, I already early-voted...and on a paper ballot no less; I'm glad paper was an option, because I was not looking forward to try and figure out how to vote for a write-in candidate on an electronic voting machine. I voted Green Party for Prez/VP, straight-ticket Libertarian for all the local judicial races, and D's for everything else. I'm pretty sure absolutely all of my candidates will lose. I'm an idealist, what can I say; I'm pretty sure that unfortunately McCain will still win Texas handily, which gives me the "luxury" of voting Green for the top spot.
Wish they'd make up their minds
C'mon wingnuts, which is it-is Obama a muslim or an atheist? I wish you'd make up your minds already!
One could then say
One could then say conservatism-anti-semitism-facism, which requires theism.
Morons
Mr. bigot Caldarola was sufficiently ignorant to write such tripe, but the real morons are the editors that decided to publish this demagoguery.
