Blog Issues
Well, in re-modifying the UTI theme I seem to have broken it. The user profiles are inaccesible, and your own "My Account" page cannot be reached. It throws an error.
So, I am changing the default theme to one that looks like crap for while. This restores all the lost functionality until I can figure out what I did to create the error in the first place.
Again everyone - thanks for your patience.

This is the better theme
This theme seems a bit less "busy" to me, and I'm drawn more readily into the content. You might find a different photo for that Brent Rasmussen guy, though.
I Know!
I know! He's one ugly bastard, isn't he?
Science Blogs
Have you looked into ScienceBlogs? Just a thought.
Science Blogs Sucks!
Hehe... Just kidding. We did ask them to take on UTI back in January, I think, but they declined. Apparently DS and I don't have the credentials they needed, or we don't do enough pure science blogging to attract them. We're both laymen, not degreed scientists, and we talk a lot about atheism, and only a little about science. Basically UTI is an atheism blog with some science sprinkled on top. What they want, and what they got with PZ, was a science blog with atheism sprinkled on top.
Our percentages are wrong, I guess. ;)
I second that - this theme
I second that - this theme looks okay to me. But then I'm terminally lazy!

Go For It Boss
Who needs to spend all their time fixin' glitches when there are soooo many pets (& other muchly loved critters underfoot) to grind up!
Life is just too short, eh.

Maybe It's Time For A Change
Maybe I should just redesign around this theme. What does everyone think?
Themes
In one aspect, this theme's better than the usual one: it provides more space for the posts, or at least seems to. Therefore, a paragraph that the usual theme would render as a 7-line one might have 5 lines here, which I think makes it more readable. What's certain is that this theme does not increase text size in blockquotes, whereas the usual one does; this again makes for more readable paragraphs.
